Ok, we all know that the U.S. submarines aren't up to snuff.
But, just how much damage can they do?

 NATO Orders
You are to be stationed at the mouth of the White Sea.
Your mission is to intercept any Soviet surface task forces
that are leaving the White Sea and heading to the Atlantic.
There is believed to be a support task force leaving
Arkhangel'sk as we speak. If this is true, it must be
stopped before it can reach the Norwegian Sea. The group
should be centered on a Kiev carrier and a Kirov cruiser.
Heavy ASW patrols from land-based aircraft are probable.
If contact is made with support task force then all
possible targets should be neutralized, but be sure to hit
any carriers or cruisers present. These pose a long term
threat to NATO and must be dealt with quickly. Some losses
are expected. However, since you have only six subs,
losses must be kept to a minimum. It is important that,
once an attack has been made, you leave the area quickly.
If successful, this mission could lead to other sorties by
our submarines in an attempt to neutralize the northern
 airfields.

This is the second scenario that I have posted on the
BBS. If you enjoyed this one, please try GIUKPOWR.ZIP. It
is a variation on the NACV #14 scenario, but set in the
GIUK set. This allows a greater variety of platforms for
the USSR. Please let me know what you think of these
 scenarios. Your input is appreciated.
